What is it?
The Personal Settings portion of the Listingbook System provides all the necessary personal information and application settings required to manage your Listingbook Account. The Personal Settings section is made up of several different setting modules that control specific areas of the Listingbook System. The Settings page has individual modules for Personal Information, Professional Information, Your Images, Email Preferences, Service Options, and Account Sharing. Each of these areas have specific group of settings that can be changed to fit your needs.
Additionally, the Settings page has a Suggested Action Items module displayed to provide a list of Action Items that will assist you during the process of setting up your Listingbook Account. These Action Items will be specifically related to the Settings displayed on the page.
WEB SITE SETTINGS:
Your Business Builder Web Site is a lead-capture web site and was designed with the goal of getting people to register and to open a Listingbook account just as if you gave them one. Once a prospect does this, they will be able to search listings as well as receive relevant market activity through their Morning Report and you will be monitor their activity in your Client Manager.
The Web Site Settings portion of the Listingbook System provides all the necessary personal information and application settings required to manage your Listingbook Business Builder Web Site. The Web Site Settings section is made up of several different modules that control specific areas of your Business Builder Web Site. The Web Site Settings tab has individual modules for Web Site Address, Color Scheme, Home Page Content, Services and Testimonials. Each of these areas have specific group of settings that can be changed to fit your needs.
Additionally, the Web Site Settings tab has a Suggested Action Items module displayed to provide a list of Action Items that will assist you during the process of setting up your Business Builder Web Site. These Action Items will be specifically related to the Web Site Settings displayed on the page.
To view your changes at any time, click any of the “View My Web Site” buttons on the page.
How do I use it?
Each specific Settings module will provide flexibility in how you wish to interact and benefit from the Listingbook Account. Provided below is a more detailed description of the Settings displayed in each part of the Listingbook System.
Personal Information – This section provides the ability for you to ensure that your information is clear, accurate, and up-to-date within Listingbook. Simply click the “Edit Settings” button to update this information. The standard Personal Information items will be displayed with required fields such as First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. This information is easily updated and saved.
The process for updating an Email Address is started on the Settings page, but will include an email being sent to your account to verify the changes made to these Settings before the change will completely be updated. Plus the process for changing the Password field requires entering the old password, and then providing the new password twice as confirmation. The new password must contain at least 8 characters.
Professional Information – Provides the ability to choose your Languages, Specialties, and Designations. Simply click the “Edit Settings” button to update this information. Select checkboxes to any of the fields that match your Professional Information. None of the checkboxes are required fields.
Your Images – Allows you to upload your Agent Photo and Company Logo. Upload your images by selecting an image file on your computer with the browse button and clicking the upload button. Supported image formats include: GIF, JPEG, BMP, and PNG. There is a 2MB (megabyte) maximum file size on your image. The upload of an image is not required for the Listingbook Account. This feature is provided to enhance the opportunities to personally manage your brand on Listingbook.
Email Preferences – This section allows you to adjust the email notifications that you would receive from Listingbook. Simply click the “Edit Settings” button to update this information. The Email Preferences control the email notifications that are sent for specific actions or activity on Listingbook. You can turn these settings on and off based on your preferences. These Settings are all set to “Yes” as the default which means that you will be notified for all of these specific actions. Simply change the settings to your desired value, and close the Email Preferences Module to save changes.
Service Options – This section provides the ability to adjust whether or not you would like for your Sellers to be able to purchase Featured Listings. Plus other Listingbook Service related settings such as the ability to adjust your Loan Rate and Tax Rate. The Loan Rate and Tax Rate will be used in other areas of the application, and the values provided in this settings module will be the default values used. The Loan Calculator on the Property Detail Page will use these settings as defaults.
Account Sharing – You must be a ListingbookPro user to have access to this function which will allow you to share your account with another Agent. Agents you are Account Sharing with will have access to all Account information except for “Settings” and “Products and Services” areas of the application. The Account Sharing setting enables you to search for an Agent, set up the Account Sharing relationship with that Agent, and allow them to manage your account on your behalf. The Account Sharing features provides full access to your account for the Agent(s) of your choice.
WEB SITE SETTINGS:
Web Site Address – This setting allows you to choose and alias so that you can market your Business Builder Web Site. Choose an alias that best describes you, your office or your services.
NOTE: Aliases are first come, first served. If the alias that you choose is already in use by another agent, you will be prompted to choose another alias.
NOTE: When choosing an alias, you may use the letters of the alphabet ('a-z'), numerals ('0-9'), and hyphens ('-'). You may not use the names of cities, states, any business (without written consent of that business), the word 'MLS', or any otherwise misleading names in your alias. Listingbook may require you to change your alias at any time for failure to comply with the above.
Web Site Color Scheme – This setting allows you to choose a color scheme for your Business Builder Web Site. The following colors are available: Blue, Red, Gold, Green and Purple.
Once you have selected the color you want, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the module.
Home Page Content – This setting allows you to populate your Business Builder Website with content about you, your services, or the area that you service.
NOTE: If you make a change in this section at any time, you MUST click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the module in order for them to take effect.
The following settings are available in this section:
Choose A Slogan - This short description appears at the top of your web site in the header. If you would like to choose from pre-written content, select a slogan from the list in the drop down. If you would like to write your own slogan, choose the radio button beside the input box and type your slogan. NOTE: There is a finite amount of space that is available for your slogan. If you exceed the amount of space given, the text will overflow. Please keep your slogan brief.
Additionally, if you DO NOT want a slogan at the top of your web site, choose the second option and leave the text field blank.
Content About You – This setting allows you to select from pre-written text that describes you and your services or you can compose your own content. Additionally, if you select the pre-written content, you can edit that as you see fit. This content will be displayed on the left-hand side, directly beneath the property flip book.
Professional Skills – These settings allow you to place the languages you speak, your specialties and your professional designations. If you do not want any of these settings displayed on your Business Builder Web Site, uncheck the box beside the professional skill that you do not want displayed and click the “Save Changes” button.
NOTE: Any changes that you make in this module will update your Personal Settings and vice versa.
External Links – This setting allows you to specify up to 4 external links. Use this setting for links to your broker web site, community information or local news.

Professional Affiliations - This setting allows you to specify up to 4 professional affiliations.
Community Activities - This setting allows you to specify up to 4 community activities.
Services – These settings allow you to show or hide the interactive property flipbook on your site as well as miscellaneous items not covered in the other modules.
Featured Properties – This setting gives you the option of displaying or hiding the interactive property flipbook at the top of the page. If you do not want the flipbook to appear, simple uncheck the box and click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the module.
Miscellaneous – This setting allows you to show or hide your company logo and REALTOR® logo on your web site. Additionally, you can require a new buyer home number when a user comes to your site to request a Listingbook account.
Testimonials – This setting allows you to provide client testimonials for your web site. The testimonials will be place on the “TESTIMONIALS” page.
To create a testimonial, simply click the “Create New” button at the bottom of the module. Type your testimonial in the input box and provide a client name and location. Once you are satisfied with the testimonial, click the “Save Changes” button to place the testimonial on your web site.
You can compose as many testimonials as you wish. Once you have multiple testimonials, you can reorder the placement on the page by using the “Move To” drop down. The testimonials will automatically switch positions once you have selected a different position.
You can remove a testimonial at any time by clicking the “Remove” button underneath the testimonial. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.
Settings Modules – Sections on the Personal Settings page that allows you to edit specific areas of the Listingbook Application.
Required Fields – Settings that must be provided and valid before you can save changes.
Personal Information – Displays all the personal settings for your account such as First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
Professional Information – Displays specific professional settings such as Languages You Speak, Specialties, and Designation.
Languages You Speak– Setting that allows you to select languages you speak in order to display to clients that view your profile.
Specialties – Setting that allows you to select specialties that you provide in the market in order to display to clients that view your profile.
Designation – Setting that allows you to select designations that you have achieved in order to display to clients that view your profile.
Your Images – Provides the ability to upload a Portrait and Company Logo to your account.

Email Preferences – Allows you to adjust the email notifications that you would receive from Listingbook.
Service Options – Display specific settings that will be used for other services in the Listingbook Application such as Loan Rate and Tax Rate.
Account Sharing – Enables you to share your account with another Agent so that they can manage your account.
URL (Uniform Resource Locator) – A specific character string that constitutes a reference to an Internet resource. When providing your Business Builder Website URL to your clients, they will be able to type the URL in a web browser to view your web site.
How do I change my Email Address? Simply click the “Edit Settings” button on the Personal Information module to update your email address. Change the email address field, and click “Save Changes” button. The process for updating an Email Address is started on the Settings page, but will include an email being sent to your account to verify the changes made to these Settings before the change will completely be updated.
Why do I need to receive an email to verify my new email address? This is simple a security measure to verify that the email address is valid, and that you did intend to change your email address in the Listingbook System. An invalid email address being saved will prevent you from receiving Morning Reports and all other email communications from Listingbook. Verifying the new email address is an important step in the process.
How do I upload my Photo or Company Logo? Simply click the “Edit Settings” button on the Your Images module. Upload your images by selecting an image file on your computer with the browse button and clicking the upload button. Supported image formats include: GIF, JPEG, BMP, and PNG. There is a 2MB (megabyte) maximum file size on your image.
What are Suggested Action Items? Suggested Action Items are tasks that are created based on activity within the Listingbook system. Action Items are a guide for next steps in the system based on previous actions or activity. The Action Items displayed on the Settings section will be related to your specific account settings.
How do I change my password? Simply click the “Edit Settings” button on the Personal Information module to update your password. Click the “Change Your Password” link to start the process. The Password field requires entering the old password, and then providing the new password twice as confirmation. The new password must contain at least 8 characters. Click “Save” button to complete the process.
Can I turn off Account Sharing? Yes, simply click the “Edit Settings” button on the Account Sharing module, and click the “Remove This Agent” link next to the name of the Agent that you wish to remove.
Can I have more than one email address for my account? No, Listingbook allows you to have one email address for all the communication and notifications provided through the system.
How do I stop receiving email from Listingbook? Simply click the “Edit Settings” button on the Email Preferences module. Each type of email notification that you receive will be listed. Simply change any or all email types to “No” in order to stop receiving email from the Listingbook. Example email types include Property Notes, New Prospect Alerts, Market Updates, etc. Each of these email types can be turned off by selecting “No” as the preference.
WEB SITE SETTINGS:
How do I select my custom web address? The “Web Site Address” module will allow you to specify your custom URL (alias). Please note, aliases are first come, first served. If the alias that you choose is already in use by another agent, you will be prompted to choose another alias.
Can I use this site to replace an existing site, but keep my old website address? Yes, but you will need to redirect your old URL to your new Listingbook Business Builder Web Site URL.
Do I have to manually add my listings to this site? No, your residential listings are automatically pulled from the MLS and placed on your web site.
Can I link this site to other websites that I have? Yes, you can use the “External Link” section under “Home Page Content” to link to other sites of interest.
Can people search listings on this website? No, this web site does not allow users to search MLS listings. Once a user has activated their Listingbook account, they can search the Listingbook application for MLS listings.
How do I drive traffic to my web site?
a. Tell people that they can “Search Like an Agent”
b. Tell people that they can have an accurate search that is updated every 15 minutes
c. Tell people, “no need to search other websites”
d. Allow people to register at open houses
e. Including your web site URL in your marketing materials
f. Promote your web site on Facebook, Craigslist, YouTube or Twitter
Can I add listings from another agent in my office to this site to make my inventory look larger? No, only the listings from the MLS that designate you as the listing agent are available on your Business Builder Web Site.
Listingbook has been configured to print using the default settings of both your operating system (Microsoft Windows or Apple OS X)and your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari). If you are experiencing printing issues, please consult your operating system or browser documentation to revert your print settings.
